We moved house last May, has it been a year already! We have painted the garage in a nice Sherwood Green colour, Trish thought that it was horrible, but as I had brought 5 litres of the stuff, on its gone. I think it looks very nice, albeit somewhat like an army barracks. I have now painted the frame a vivid bright red. Certainly brightens things up, now its not like any army barracks I have every seen. The front room is now done in a apple white colour, Trish chose the paint! The latest exciting development in the Stocker household was to rotivate the back garden and reseed the lot. Got a fair bit of help from the uk gardening newsgroup, especially how to level the ground and prepare it for the seed. Of course we choose the nice hot weather to do it in, very little happened for almost 2 weeks! Then it rained and guess what...yes a lot of grass has appeared. Even cut it the other day. Very impressive. Now to the vegetables have the seed now to plant. There are also 2 new apple trees growing in the back garden. We got them from Brogdale in Kent. In 3 years time we should have many apples. Here comes the cider! They are on M27 rootstock so will not grow very big. All we have to do know is find out how to prune them. |
